I have filled you in directly with my dramatic issues about love, friends and others. But I don't think I have talked about myself a lot. Indeed, the name of my blog is about The Middle Eastern Girl. Let me tell you more about it, so I am 20 year old, actually I am turning 20 in 4 days. I live in Paris, the city of love, I am from the Middle-east.
So, I have an older sister who's 24, and wonderful parents. My family is what's most important to me. My mom is so cool, she's like a best friend to me. We tell each other everything. On the other side, my dad is also an amazing person, but I'd say he is more strict educationally wise. Let's say he is very old school, still is keen on old generations values and principles so we have some issues from time to time but oh well, it's always good in the end.
My sister, studies Law in Paris, I believe she will be an amazing lawyer and deserves an amazing career with all of her hard work.
So, my family is very open-minded, as a lot of you readers must ask yourselves but how is really a life of an Arab girl in Europe? Yes, It's hard at times because people don't necessarily understand different cultures straight away. My first year of university was pretty good actually , people came from all over the world with over 99 nationalities. It was amazing. But, sometimes you know there's this issue of "sex" for example. Well, in my culture and religion we have principles, obviously you guys have heard of the rule of "no sex before marriage". Well, I personally apply it, I am a believer. but sometimes it is hard, as an open-minded young teenager who has lived half of her life in Europe, it's always tempting to drink alcohol, sleep with your boyfriend or random guys, do drugs and other things. But if you have a strong will power and if you believe in God and in a greater after life, then you will wait until God sends you the perfect man. Okay, you must think I'm totally crazy , going from boyfriend drama to religion talk, but I just want you to know that no matter what your beliefs are or where you come from it doesn't matter, You do what YOU WANT to do. People will always be there, trying to take you down with them, you just gotta be strong. I was and still am strong and that's why people respect me today, I stood up for myself.
Live, Laugh & Love, TMEgirl.
